OBITUARY

It’s with great sadness that the family of Scott Anthony Thibodeaux announces his passing from this life on Aug. 5, 2018, into the arms of the angels at the age of 45.

A Mass of Christian burial for Scott Anthony Thibodeaux was held on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, at 2 p.m. in Our Lady Help of Christian Catholic Church, with Father Charles McMillin officiating.

A gathering of family and friends was held on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, from 2:30-10 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation continued Wednesday, Aug. 8, from 8 a.m. until the time of his funeral mass.

Scott was born in Lafayette to Melvin and Mildred Thibodeaux on Aug. 24, 1972.

Scott loved being outdoors, listening to music, competing in 5k runs, daily runs around town or visiting the prayer garden at his church. He was a member of Ainsley Angels of Louisiana. Scott lived at home under the loving care of his brother, Johnny Thibodeaux. He was a kind and loving soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Scott is survived by his five brothers, Wendell Thibodeaux (Catherine) of Iota, Ricky Thibodeaux of Lake Charles, Kenneth Thibodeaux of Lake Arthur, Johnny Thibodeaux of Jennings and Larry Thibodeaux (Rhonda) of Morse; his sister, Wanda Esthay (Cecil) of Evangeline; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Mildred Thibodeaux; his brother, Gerald Thibodeaux; his two sisters, Sandra Thibodeaux and Angela Thibodeaux Guillory; his sister-in-law, Pamela Thibodeaux; his niece, Heather; and his two nephews, Peter Hurst and Ricky Thibodeaux, Jr.
