Carvell O’Brien, Jr., 36, passed away on Dec. 30, 2018.

Carvell, Jr. was born on July 20, 1982, in Sacramento, Calif.

He was self-employed, the owner of O’Brien’s Car Wash in Houston, Texas. He was an Air Force veteran. Carvell, Jr., was an all-around athlete. He played football with a Houston league, the Houston Beasts. He attended Bethel Church in Jennings.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his father, Carvell O’Brien, Sr. (wife, Ethel); his mother, Michelle A. Pete; his children, Maridean O’Brien, Omar O’Brien, King O’Brien, Maliah Collier and Christian Veronie; his sisters, Latasha A. O’Brien, Olivia O. O’Brien and Jasmine Nelson; brothers, Carlos Gordon, Benjamin Gordon, Horace Gordon and Kevin Gordon; one nephew, Ra’zael O’Brien; he also leaves to cherish his memories, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and acquaintances.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sgt. Lawrence Pete (wife, Mary); his grandfathers, Beverly O’Brien, Sr., and Bennie (wife Althea) Cagler; and uncles, Beverly O’Brien, Jr. and Michael Pete.
