Memorial services for Charles Allen Guillory, 68,  will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019, in the David J. And Rosa W. Fondel Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, located at 819 N. State Street in Jennings. Pastor Earlene Chevis of Victory Methodist Protestant Church of Bunkie will officiate.    

Visitation will be held in the chapel from 9 a.m. until the time of service.  

Charles previously resided in Rayne and was a current resident of Jennings.  He passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.  

Charles was born in Lafayette on May 9, 1950, to Coy and Audrey (Guillory) Allen.  He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Jennings, pastored by Father Jude Fernando, TOR.  Charles was a graduate of Armstrong High School in Rayne and was later employed by Ziegler Shipyard as a painter and sandblaster.  He was later referred to as a “jack of all trades.”

Charles is survived by his children, Charles Craig (Dana) Leopaul, Joseph Tyrone (Rachel) Leopaul, Jeremy Williams, Shannon Williams, Kevin Henry and Charles Henry; brothers, Delmar Allen, Donald Brown and Hercules Grainger; sisters, Paula Ann Pitre and Jennifer Allen-Coleman; grandchild, DyNala Leopaul; and foster mom, Rosa Mae Grainger.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Guillory Allen; his father, Coy Allen; and sisters, Shirley Allen Shallow and Patricia Guillory.
