Don’t blame the president

Love him or hate him, it is unfair to blame President Trump for the actions of individuals.

This week’s mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, have of course sparked a blame game. That is the typical reaction to American tragedies these days — use the situation to launch a political war and treat the victims as pawns instead of people.
