JENNINGS — It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share with you that Willie Ray LeJeune, 70, of Welsh, has left his earthly life behind on Feb. 9, 2024. Willie was born in Lafayette on Nov. 27, 1953 to Iry Joseph LeJeune and Wilma Blanchard LeJeune Leger. Willie worked as a boat captain until his retirement. He loved being out on the water. Willie was a kind and generous man who was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Vicki Dianne Roach, also known as “Nai Nai Ji”, passed away on Jan. 31, 2024 at the age of 67 in Kinder. She was born on Aug. 27, 1956 in Jennings. Vicki was a kind, sweet and thoughtful person who will be deeply missed by her loved ones.

JENNINGS — The family of Mrs. Ollie Calhoun Tietje, 88, of Roanoke, announces her passing from this life on Feb. 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Dr. Walter Wallace Low, 82, a retired veterinarian, passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024 in Baton Rouge.

JENNINGS — Charles Aubrey Isham, born July 13, 1930, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024 in Jennings.

Daniel Miller, 97, of Jennings passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024 at Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home.

JENNINGS — Florence Crochet Doucet was born on July 18, 1933, to Pete Crochet and Azalia Babineaux Crochet in Roanoke and she was called to her Heavenly Father on Jan. 11, 2024 at the beautiful age of 90. She was a homemaker who dedicated her life to the care of her family, as well as working as a cafeteria worker. She loved to cook and bake homemade bread. Florence was a faithful and devout member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Her faith was strong. She always had her rosary with her and she always prayed for all of her kids and grandkids. Florence had a very outgoing personality. She loved to socialize. You could always find her at a ball game. When she wasn’t at a ball game, you could find her cooking or baking bread for her family or sewing, which she enjoyed as well. Her greatest joys came from spending time with all of her family, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving and kind woman who will be dearly missed by all who know and loved her.
