NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Brian Kelly and LSU face much higher expectations going into his second season as coach.

LAKE ARTHUR — Many adults look back on their years in high school as some of the best years of their lives. As adults, they remember the days where one didn’t have bills to pay and quite so many responsibilities that come along with adulthood. While that may be true, it often goes unnoticed how much time, effort and devotion current high schoolers put in, especially for the academic athletes who dedicate nearly all their time to their sports, athletics and extracurricular activities in order to gain excellence, knowledge and experience necessary to achieve their long-term goals.

With just over a month until football season will kick off, schedules have been released for all four Jeff Davis Parish teams for the upcoming 2023 season. All four squads will see teams that usually play in the nondistrict schedule and into league play.

Crews becomes the seventh LSU student-athlete to receive the SEC Athlete of the Year Award, and the first Tiger since quarterback Joe Burrow in 2020.
