The big moment of the contest came at the end of the fourth quarter when Tiger Shawn Fruge banked in a 3-pointer at the buzzer to put the exclamation point on Lake Arthur’s win.

MANSURA – The Hathaway Lady Hornets went on the road to Central Louisiana Monday night and earned a hard fought win over the Avoyelles Public Charter Lady Vikings by a final of 73-52. The Lady Hornets blew open a close game with a dominant second half, and rode the big scoring nights of Chloey Guidry and Lamiah Sanchez to claim the win. Chloey Guidry led all scorers with 25 points, while Sanchez dumped in 22 of her own. Hathaway connected on 11 3-point buckets in moving their impressive record to 11-1 in the early season.
