After starting the season at 5-11, the Jennings Bulldogs have turned their season around and saved their best baseball for the second half of the season to put themselves in the Top-10 in Class 3A heading towards the LHSAA state playoffs. At one point the Dogs reeled off six consecutive wins, finished as the district 4-3A runner-up with an impressive 7-3 record and currently sit at No. 8 in the latest 3A power ratings. Jennings played their final regular season contest on Friday night against the Kinder Yellow Jackets, and await the playoff bracket release this week. The Dogs will undoubtedly host a first round playoff match-up, and if they can advance past that one, could host a Regional Round best-of-three series at Danny Reed Field.
