Frank Thibodeaux American Legion Post 520 and Unit 520 Ladies Auxiliary recently held a ceremony to honor parish veterans by awarding them with the Louisiana Honor Medal. Friends and family gathered at Marcus Cain Memorial Park Pavilion to witness the celebration.

Past District Governor and Welsh Rotary Club (WRC) member Clarence Prudhomme (left) recently presented Jennings Daily News staff writer Erin Hargave the Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) on behalf of WRC. The recognition was established to acknowledge individuals who contribute, or have contributions made in their name like in Hargrave’s case, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation. Hargrave is the first non-rotarian or the immediate family of an active rotarian to receive the award.
