During the 2021 American Legion Department of Louisiana (State-level) Convention held in Alexandria from June 17-20, Department Commander Byron Comeaux (right) and Department Vice Commander A.J. Jones (left) presented the 2019-2020 Department of Louisiana Vice Commander’s Award to Frank Thibodeaux Post 520 from Jennings. The Post received the award for attaining 116 percent of its membership goal, the highest level of any Post of its size in the state. Accepting the award is Post 520 Commander Don Hall (center). Since the Department of Louisiana did not have a State Convention last year because of the COVID pandemic, all membership awards from last year were presented at this year’s state convention.
