The Rotary Club of Welsh held its weekly meeting on Sept. 24 at the Community Center and via zoom.

Tony Robbins says as human beings, we have the innate need to contribute to those around us. Whether it comes in the form of something small like being there for a friend or something massive like contributing financially to a worthwhile cause, we realize the importance of giving back to society.

Six months into Louisiana’s coronavirus outbreak, disagreements over how the state should respond to the pandemic and who should make those decisions have reached a fever pitch, culminating in the centerpiece debate of a special legislative session that starts Monday.

There is no denying that lobsters are an interesting looking species. It’s difficult to imagine that someone first had the inclination to catch and cook these well-armored crustaceans.

The weather is cooling, and the days are getting shorter. We’re now into astronomical fall following the autumnal equinox. There are so many things we can do in the garden this time of year.
