A project which will bring a new food storage facility to the school district is one step closer to becoming a reality.

(The Center Square) — Louisiana has sued the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, saying the federal agency unlawfully blocked the state from adding citizenshipverification instructions to the national voter registration form.

It was incorrectly stated in the Wednesday, April 15 edition of Jennings Daily News the aldermen and mayor of the Town of Lake Arthur received a pay raise. However, the group only introduced the ordinance for the boost in pay. The item will be voted on in the May meeting of the board.
