A project planned to construct baseball and softball fields for Lacassine High School (LHS) moved one step closer to beginning after Jeff Davis Parish School Board (JDSB) Finance Committee approved a $664,554.65 bid from Gunter Construction at Tuesday’s meeting.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Jennings High School Class of 2026 barbecue fundraiser has been moved to Thursday, Feb. 8. Pick up will be at the high school, located at 2310 North Sherman St. in Jennings. Tickets are still available for $6 a piece and come with a barbecue burger and chips. All proceeds help fund prom and graduation activities.
