Daisy Mae Vital Harmon was born on Dec. 8, 1930 to the late Dorsey and Eva Bertrand Vital of Welsh. She attended Welsh Rosenwald Negro School where she met her life partner of 73 years, Hodges Ray “Bubba” Harmon, who preceded her in death. They are the loving parents of three daughters, Shiela, Lynette and Daisette and one son, Luther.

George Carroll Houssiere was born in Jennings on Dec. 8, 1940 and entered the gates of Heaven on Oct. 30, 2025.

Sidney Paul LeJeune, 67, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025. He was born in Jennings to Betty Guidry LeJeune Hardee and Oria LeJeune on Jan. 11, 1958.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary, Mother of the Church Catholic Church in Lafayette for Ms. Emily Claire Duhon, age 87, who passed away on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.

Albert Lee Caswell, 85, affectionately known as “Bud” by his family and friends, was a resident of Jennings and entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 in the comfort of his home, while surrounded by those he loved most.
