The Jennings Bulldogs will finally make their return to Jerry Simmons Stadium a three-week road swing that saw them take trips to DeRidder, Iowa and Iota. This week the Dogs welcome in new district mate Kinder to Jerry Simmons Stadium for a 4-3A match-up that could be big for both teams The Dogs remain winless at 0-5 on the season, but weekly improvement with this young squad continues to occur each week. The gelling and maturation showed large in last week’s close contest with the favored Iota Bulldogs. Jennings led for much of the contest 7-6, before Iota capitalized on a few Jennings mistakes to pull away in the fourth quarter. Despite the rough start, Jennings Head Coach Rusty Phelps remains optimistic about the Bulldogs’ season heading forward.
The Lake Arthur Tigers return home to Jack Doland Memorial Stadium tonight to do battle with the mighty Notre Dame Pioneers. The Tigers sit at 3-2 after a thrashing of the Pickering Red Devils last Friday night, while Notre Dame is also 3-2 after dropping at tough one to Cecilia 25-24. Kick-off for tonight’s match-up is set for 7 p.m. from Jack Doland Memorial Stadium on the campus of Lake Arthur High School.
