LA advances to second round of playoffs
The No. 5 Lake Arthur Lady Tigers advanced to the second round of the playoffs after defeating the No. 29 Madison Lady Jaguars 52-29. Lake Arthur took a 17-2 first period lead, but the pesky Lady Jaguars refused to go away quietly in the next three periods.

Lady Dogs top Union Parish 59-36, advance to second round of playoffs
The No. 5 Jennings Lady Bulldogs advanced to the second round of the playoffs, but had to defeat a stubborn No. 28 Union Parish Lady Farmer team 59-36. Jennings lead 34-14 at half, but Union Parish refused to go away and wouldn’t let the Lady Dogs lead by more than 21 points in the fourth period until the end of the game.
