Lacassine senior Vanessa Duhe signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her basketball career at LSU-Eunice on Monday. Duhe has been a standout at LHS, earning multiple All-State, All-District and All-Parish honors. BATON ROUGE – The Lacassine High (LHS) and Hathaway (HHS) High Track and Field teams both had fantastic showings here at Bernie Moore Stadium on the campus of LSU for the Class B State Track and Field Meet. Both the Cardinals and Lady Cardinals grabbed fourth-place team finishes, while the ladies team also claimed three state championships in events. The Cardinals scored 57 total points in the meet, while the Lady Cards earned 60 total. The Lady Hornets came away with an eighth-place finish by earning 26 points, while the Hornets grabbed a ninth-place overall finish with 24 points.

Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Department’s Golf Tournament for Communities Against Domestic Abuse (CADA) had an overwhelming turnout of 40 playing teams consisting of 120 players, over 50 volunteers who provided food and beverage donations, services and support and great auction items that also brought in funding for CADA.

On April 29, the Jennings High School tennis team competed in the LHSAA State Tennis Tournament to complete their 2020-2021 season.
