The 2021 Jennings baseball season came to an end in the second round of the playoffs in Brusly, but only after a valiant effort from the Bulldogs. Facing elimination in game 2 of the best of 3 series, Jennings trailed 4-7 the eighth inning, and the Dogs scored two runs but flied out with a runner on third to give the Panthers a 7-6 win. Friday night, the No. 7 Panthers defeated the No. 10 Bulldogs 6-1 in the first game of the series.
LEESVILLE – The Lacassine Cardinals season came to an end on Monday when they got popped by the No. 2-ranked Anacoco Indians by a final of 11-1. The Cards gave Anacoco all they could handle for the first three-and-a-half innings of play, but a six run outburst eventually blew the game away. The Indians scored a single run in the bottom of the fifth to complete the 10-run rule and will advance to the Regional Round of the Class B Playoffs. The Indians scored two runs in the second and third innings, two coming on a tape measure shot by pitcher Drew Tebbe. Anacoco would then pour on the runs in the fourth with their six runs.
