The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) released playoff brackets for girls’ basketball on Monday, and all six Jeff Davis Parish (JDP) teams heard their names called at that time.

With the 2021 girls’ basketball playoff brackets being announced today, it’s pretty much a done deal that all Jeff Davis Parish (JDP) teams will see their names called when they come out. But the really cool thing about this year’s brackets will be the the fact that JDP could very well have five teams seeded inside the Top-10 in their classification.

PORT BARRE - The Lake Arthur Tigers used a huge night from Kenyon Boese to take down the Port Barre Red Devils in district 6-2A action by a final of 52-47 Thursday night Boese poured in 30 points and drained four 3-pointers in the big win.
Lady Dogs fall short in upset bid of No. 3 South Beau
LONGVILLE - For the second time this season, the Jennings Bulldogs pushed the No. 3 South Beauregard Lady K’s to the limit, but falling short by the final of 53-46. The loss dropped the NO. 7-ranked Lady Dogs to 18-7 overall, while South Beau improved to 18-4.
No. 2 Lady Tigers polish off Notre Dame 67-18
LAKE ARTHUR - The No. 2-ranked Lake Arthur Lady Tigers bounced back from their loss to LCA like nothing ever happened, defeating Notre Dame soundly by a count of 67-18. The Lady Tigers continued to drain 3-pointers by the dozens, as they used 12 in the lopsided win over the Lady Pios. The win moved the Lady Tigers to 25-4 overall and in good shape when playoff announcements are released on Sunday.
