Levi’s 22 guides Tigers to 55-39 win over Devils
LAKE ARTHUR - The Lake Arthur Tigers picked up their first win of the season Friday night as they blew past the Port Barre Red Devils by a final of 55-39 at “Nookie” Moore Gymnasium.

INDIANS MAKE IT 11 STRAIGHT
ELTON - The No. 3 Elton Indians made it 11 straight wins Friday night, as theyblew past the East Beauregard Trojans by a final of 70-28 at Oris Guidry Gymnasium. The win moved the Indians to 15-3 overall, 7-0 in district play. The Indians kicked off the second round of district play Tuesday when they did battle with the Merryville Panthers. As usual, the Indians rode a balanced scoring attack that saw three players hit double figures in the win. Sherman Bellow topped the list for Elton with his game-high 20.
Lady Tigers roll past Port Barre 82-25
LAKE ARTHUR - The Lake Arthur Lady Tigers made quick work out of yet another district 6-2A foe Friday night, as they annihilated the Port Barre Lady Red Devils by a final of 82-25. With the win, the Lady Tigers moved to 22-3 overall and a perfect 3-0 in district play. Lake Arthur placed four in double figures Friday night, highlighted by Vivian Sketoe’s gamehigh 19 points.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Keion Brooks Jr. had 13 of his seasonhigh 15 points in the first half, Brandon Boston Jr. added 13 of his 18 points in the second half, and Kentucky trailed for just 15 seconds in its 82-69 win over LSU 82-69 on Saturday night to snap a three-game skid.
Marshall sets world lead in 60 meter hurdles
BATON ROUGE - Tonea Marshall, a senior on the LSU track and field team, opened her 2021 season with a world leading time of 7.86 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles on Sunday at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Etienne tabbed First Team Class 3A All-State
The awards continued to roll in for Jennings junior running back Trevor Etienne and senior defensive lineman Keenan Landry, as both were named to the LSWA Class 3A All-State Team.
