IOWA – The Jennings Lady Bulldogs and Lacassine Lady Cardinals tied into a Jeff Davis Parish clash this weekend at the Iowa Mallett Builders Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Dogs broke open a tight contest in the second half to ultimately claim a 55-33 win over the Lady Cards. With the win, Jennings improved to 9-5 overall, while Lacassine fell to 11-10. The contest was tied at 18-18 at the intermission, however Jennings went on to outscore Lacassine 37-15 in the second half to earn their 22-point win. Niyah Breaux had the hot hand for the Dogs by scorching the nets for 19 points, 14 coming in the third quarter alone.

ELTON — The Elton High Lady Indians hosted the Pickering High Lady Red Devils Tuesday night in a non-district competition at Oris Guidry Gymnasium. The Lady Indians would take the three-point win after a strong fourth quarter push with a final score of 32-29.
LAKE ARTHUR — The Lake Arthur Lady Tigers picked up a nice home non-district win over the No. 6 Church Point Lady Bears Tuesday night by a final of 49-38. The Lady Tigers are now 10-3 overall on the season, and are participating in the Midland Holiday Spectacular over the weekend. The Lady Tigers used another big night from sweet shooting senior Vivian Sketoe to aid in the win, as the guard piled up 27 points in the win. The Lady Tigers led throughout the contest, but fought off a second and third quarter rally by their guests.
