Caring Hands, a local non-profit that annually assists parish residents with their bills, had much to celebrate during its quarterly meeting. President Celia Joe Black said the group was able to raise $30,000 during the end-of-year raffle. They also received donations from local businesses and churches, including over $11,000 from Bethel Baptist Church in Jennings.
