The 14th annual Squeezebox Shootout Cajun accordion contest hit the Strand stage Saturday as part of the city’s Mardi Gras events.
Participants competed in four different categories. Aaron Istre of Lake Charles bested the professional division. In the adult division, Tyler Rayon of Church Point took top honors followed by Brandon Degeyter of Church Point and Bryce Esthay of New Orleans.
