Elton resident Wesley L. Livingston, Sr., served his country in World War II.
He was drafted into the Army, went on active duty Aug. 4, 1943, at the age of 18 and served until his honorable discharge on Jan. 21, 1946. He received his military training in numerous camps, from New Orleans to California before he and the 512 Port Battalion went overseas, eventually being stationed in the Philippines.
