After five days of salads, tofu and vegetarian lasagna atop polenta, I cut a swath through the airport in Charlotte, N.C., to Big Bad Dan’s Burger Shack where I smiled at a hamburger and French fries before cannibalizing both.
On Sept. 5, members of Knights of Columbus (KC) Council 7568 in Scott delivered a truckload of supplies to Our Lady Help of Christians (OLHC) Parish for distribution to families in Jeff Davis Parish and the Diocese of Lake Charles.

LAKE ARTHUR - When the going gets tough, the tough get going. The small community here comes together in times of need. At a recent meeting, town officials expressed gratitude for all who played a role in securing the area before the storm and keeping a vigilant watch during the storm. They also thanked everyone who helped with clean up and recovery efforts after the threat had passed.
