Since 1965, Jeff Davis Living Center family has made it their business to care for your loved ones. Knights of Columbus officers for the 2025-26 year were recently installed at St. Lawrence Parish Church by KC District Deputy Daniel Stretcher. The Knights of Columbus fraternal organization was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney under the broad principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. St. Lawrence Parish KC Council was established in May 1959. The James O. Hall American Legion Post 19 elected new officers recently, including new Commander Rebecca Doucet. The post welcomed Alternate National Executive Committeeman Byron Comeaux and Department of Louisiana Commander Oliver Moore III, who conducted the installation of Post 19’s new officers.

Jones United Methodist Church in Welsh, in conjunction with its Sunday School department, held its annual Vacation Bible School June 23-25.
