Spiritual Journey

Selected students from Jeff Davis Parish had “AHEC (Area Health Education Centers) of a Summer” volunteering in a healthcare observation program. Students enrolled in AHEC rotated through various departments of Ochsner American Legion Hospital, Edward’s Family Medicine, Broussard Family Medicine and Skincare, Jeff Davis Chiropractic, Thibodeaux, Albro, Touchet, The Therapy Center and Leger Family Dentistry. Students heard from guest speakers, traveled to healthcare training facilities and engaged in hands-on lab activities to gain insight into healthcare careers over the two-week course.

July 4th celebrations are much anticipated each year. Whether they include an intimate barbecue with a closeknit group of friends or a massive block party with everyone from the neighborhood, there’s a strong chance that food will be part of the party.
