Elton town officials, including Alderman Kay Hebert (from left), Alderman Trudy Patterson, Mayor Mike Pierrotti, Alderman Erica Francis, Alderman Kim Thibodeaux and Alderman Tony Guillory, recently partnered with Petco to vaccinate stray cats in the area. Patterson said the event was successful and they were able to service approximately 25 cats.
Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office recently hosted the first-ever Special Olympic Torch Run in the parish during Police Week. JDSO deputies, along with officers from other agencies, Special Olympic athletes and Attorney Daniel Sparks, participated in the run.
