Mashed potatoes are the perfect side dish, capable of being paired with meats, poultry and fish. Few meals wouldn’t benefit from the addition of creamy mashed potatoes.

“Do you have grandchildren?” I asked with a kind and lilting voice, after being introduced to my newest cousin (by marriage) when we gathered in Alabama for Thanksgiving.

Fenton Elementary School held a Veterans Day program Monday, Nov. 11. The guest speaker, Sgt. Vernon O’Quinn, read a proclamation to the audience from Gov. John Bel Edwards.

On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2019, Welsh High School (WHS) and Welsh Elementary School (WES) conducted their annual Veterans Day Ceremony at the WHS gymnasium.
