Over the summer, Knights of Columbus (KC) chapter 2012 awarded its families and members of the month. Frank Angelle presented Jimmy Richert and Mike Gary with certificates naming the men Knight of the Month, as well as Carl and Lillian Benoit and Glenn and Gayle McFarlain for Family of the Month.

Heavenly Visions Foundation (HVF) Youth Photography Program Founder Yolanda Taylor recently brought her students from Jeff Davis Parish and Kansas to visit the state capitol city. Taylor provides a holistic combination of photography instruction and mentorship to disadvantaged youth between the ages of 8-18.

Relief fund open to donations

LAKE CHARLES — A regional organization that was founded to make a difference in the lives of families and children in the community is looking to raise funds for those affected by the recent wildfires.
