Continued supply chain disruptions from the COVID-19 pandemic, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, escalating inflation and a rapidly changing climate, have exacerbated challenges around the world, particularly in developing countries, and today, as many as 828 million people still go hungry.

The Town of Elton recently teamed up with Lake Charles Pit Bull Rescue (LCPBR), a community-based organization, to offer free vaccination and microchipping to parish pets. Through their efforts, 53 dogs and one cat were treated by the medical staff of Lake Area Animal Hospital.
