When I was a child and Mother’s Day ushered in the month of May, we wore a corsage of red floribunda roses and ribbons if our Mother was living, or a corsage of white blooms and lace if our Mother was dearly departed.

Bergeauxs named State KC Family of the Year
Wayne and Pam Bergeaux, of Jennings, were recently named the Knights of Columbus (KC) State Family of the Year at the organization’s state conference in Lafayette. Wayne is a member of KC chapter 2012 and is the first from his chapter to be awarded the honor. The couple is heavily involved with their church, Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. They have four children, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. KC State Family Director Glen Ray (right) and KC State Deputy George Martin (left) awarded Wayne and Pam (center) with a commemorative plaque to mark the occasion.
