ELTON — The council here unanimously approved a five-year contract for waste collection services through Bayou State Containers at Wednesday’s meeting.
Bayou State Containers Operations Manager Kyle Lavergne addressed the Elton Town Council after realizing the company was still servicing the municipality on a non-contract basis. Town officials chose to move to the company in May 2023.
