Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office, Entergy and area volunteer firefighters secured a portion of La. 395 near Welsh Roanoke Junior High School after an 18-wheeler carrying farm equipment took out a powerline on Monday. A few of the homes in the area were without electricity but crews worked quickly to restore power. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
