Area veterans who were left unclaimed after they passed away will be given full military burial services thanks to the efforts of the local veteran’s cemetery.
The Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery will conduct burial honors for seven indigent veterans at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 31. The ceremony will be held on the cemetery grounds, located at 1620 Evangeline Rd. in Jennings.
