LAKE ARTHUR — The board of alderman held a special council meeting Wednesday to approve closing out the town’s fiscal year budget to avoid operating on a reduced budget for the week preceding their normal monthly meeting.
With the 2023-2024 budget ending July 31, an ordinance adopting revenues, expenditures and transfers for the new year’s budget beginning Aug. 1 was established.
