During a recent Jeff Davis Parish School Board meeting, Jennings Mayor Henry Guinn discussed his intentions to acquire over 27 acres that used to be the home of Jennings Elementary School.
Guinn said the property, located on the corner of Florence Street and East Academy Avenue, would be the perfect location to expand the city’s recreation complex, as the two properties adjoin each other.
