Parish officials opt out of burn ban

Parish residents can once again resume burning as Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury recently announced its intention to remove Jeff Davis Parish from the statewide burn ban. Although parish officials opted out, Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office has yet to rescind the ban that has been in place since the summer.
