WELSH — The name Gallaudet University is not one that is common or well known in Southwest Louisiana. Perhaps someone has watched the commercial of the deaf football players being equipped with new helmets that actually name the next play the offense or defense is to run. That school is Gallaudet University (GU) and they are located in Washington, D.C.
