U.S. crude production reaches record, led by Texas

(The Center Square) — The U.S. oil industry broke another production record this year, averaging 13.4 million barrels per day (b/d) of crude oil in August, according to a new U.S. Energy Information Agency report. The majority of production is coming from the Permian Basin in West Texas and southeast New Mexico, the report notes.
