WHY WERE ZONING CODES PUT IN PLACE?
Jennings Zoning Codes were established in 1974 by the Jennings City Council to protect the integrity of residential neighborhoods and allow appropriate growth and development of unused property. The codes are highly protective of the strictest A-1 Residential districts, specifically from encroachment of other zoning code districts, not the other way around.
