A parish educational network for children ages six weeks to four years will soon open its registration for the 202526 school year beginning in August. The Jeff Davis Ready Start Network, which is comprised of parish public schools, head start and Type III learning centers, will hold its annual pre-K roundup completely online beginning Tuesday, March 18. To be eligible for public pre-K, including Hathaway High, Lacassine High, Fenton Elementary, Lake Arthur Elementary, Elton Elementary, Welsh Elementary and Jennings Elementary schools, students must be four on or before Sept. 30. According to Jeff Davis Parish Early Childhood representative Kyla Scogin, parish pre-K roundup is now online to be more convenient for parents or guardians.
LAKE ARTHUR — Parish schools will be participating in a fundamental skills day this week to promote student inclusion.
