In recognition on National Literacy Week, Jeff Davis Republican Women donated a book to the parish elementary school libraries.
“Talkin’ Trash in the Bayou: Keep Louisiana Beautiful,” by Tiffany Parker was illustrated by Michelle Hirstius, two Republican women from South Louisiana. It teaches children the effects that littering has on animals, humans and the environment.
