WELSH — Welsh town officials held a public hearing on Tuesday to approve the creation of Welsh Economic Development District 1.
The Welsh Board of Alderman unanimously agreed to adopt the proposition which will allow the town to collect an additional 2% sales tax from businesses in the area.
