Celebrating Jay day

Hundreds of residents gathered at Marcus Cain Park in Jennings to celebrate what would have been Jayrick Washington’s 19th birthday. His family and friends shared what they loved about him with attendees before releasing an army of blue balloons into the heavens. Sadly, Washington’s life was cut short earlier this month when he was shot and killed in Baton Rouge.
