Jennings resident Pam Bergeaux captured a mother duck and her babies enjoying a cool dip in a crawfish pond north of Jennings. Ducklings stay close to their mothers until they can fly, which is typically around two months. Mother ducks are very protective and won’t let them stray far until they are self-sufficient.
