In a 6 to 5 vote Wednesday, the Jeff Davis Police Jury voted against an ordinance limiting licenses for future ambulance services.
The Police Jury Ordinance Committee recommended amending Chapter 10, Article 2 on ambulances, to include a new section which would limit licenses, preventing new permits being given should a current ambulance service provider leave the parish.
