The Jeff Davis Parish Library Board of Directors voted this week to adopt a budget for the 2025 fiscal year.
Comptroller Tiffany Theunissen said very few changes were made to the new budget. The 2024 property reevaluation led to an increase in property values, which adjusted the millage rate down to 5.66 mills. At this rate, the taxes levied for the JDP Library amount to $1.65 million.
