A group of local residents are hosting a special event this weekend to help make Christmas special for local children.
Chaisity Paddio-Owens, along with other community members, is holding the third annual Jennings Community Christmas Jamboree Cookies and Hot Chocolate with Santa event from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15 at North Cutting Park, located on Cutting Avenue in Jennings.
