A proposed rezoning request from A-1 (agriculture) to I-2 (heavy industrial) for a future Solugen Inc. storage and manufacturing site in southern Jeff Davis Parish, east of Oilfield Rd in Welsh, was deferred Wednesday after the company’s attorney requested additional time to meet with nearby residents and answer questions before the Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury considers the proposal.
