At their May 24 meeting in Roanoke, Jeff Davis Area Retired Teachers awarded their 2018 Killinger-Vital Scholarship Grant of $1,000 to Gabrielle Guidry of Lake Arthur, daughter of Micah and Glenn Guidry.
Guidry attends McNeese State University and will begin student teaching in the fall. She would like to one day return to Jeff Davis Parish as an elementary teacher.
